The first Dyke March in Italy is organized by a collective of Italian lesbian activists in conjunction with EL*C Conference, this historic event aims to celebrate lesbian visibility and solidarity.
This Dyke March will be a powerful statement against the erasure and marginalization of lesbians in society. It stands as a declaration of existence against heteronormativity and rigid gender roles, emphasizing that lesbians are crucial in challenging patriarchal systems. This march aims to reclaim the power of lesbian love, vision, anger, intelligence, and strategy. It underscores the importance of unity among lesbians, including women*, bisexual women*, queer individuals, non-binary people, trans persons, femmes, butches, and others. The march is firmly antifascist, opposing the oppressive policies of the current political climate in Italy and beyond. It advocates for reproductive rights, bodily autonomy, and stands in solidarity with all marginalized communities facing systemic oppression.
