2027 EL*C LESVOS Conference - SCHOLARSHIPS

We look forward to welcoming you at the EL*C 5th international lesbian conference in Lesvos, Greece between 7 to 17 October 2026.  

There could be no more meaningful place to celebrate 10 years of EL*C than Skala Eressos, on the island of Lesvos. 

For centuries, this island has been linked with Sappho, the poet who has become a powerful symbol of lesbian existence, creativity and resilience.

If you want to join us but need help covering travel, accommodation, entrance fees, or visa costs, consider applying for a scholarship. EL*C will strive to secure as many funding opportunities as we can for activists lacking funds. However, please note that scholarship spots are limited due to available funding. Therefore, we recommend seeking funding in advance from your organization or other sources, such as benefit events or local embassies.

We strongly encourage applications from lesbians (cis, trans and intersex women, and non-binary persons who self-identify as lesbian, bisexual, and queer) individuals with intersecting identities, including but not limited to racial and ethnic minorities, those from low-income backgrounds, people with disabilities, trans and non-binary persons, migrants, refugees, neurodiverse individuals, or elders.
