Shadi Amin

Pioneering Iranian lesbian feminist and coordinator of the Iranian Lesbian and Transgender Network (6Rang). A leading writer and researcher, she has authored key works on LGBTI rights in Iran, including Gender X and Crime and Impunity. Shadi is known for her advocacy against forced sex change practices and her work with UN mechanisms to defend LGBTI rights under the Islamic Republic regime.
