Aida Marukyan is a researcher and queer-feminist activist from Armenia with around 10 years of experience in gender justice, LBTQ and feminist organizing. Her politics begins with care and she believes that claiming well-being, pleasure, and joy as queer women is a revolutionary and necessary act. She prioritizes community well-being in all her activism efforts.
Aida is a team member of the Armenian LBTQ, non-hierarchical collective, queer sista platform. Her academic interests focus on the intersections of gender and sexuality, with a particular emphasis on LBTQ lives.
