Kika Fumero is a Spanish feminist and lesbian activist. Her expertise lies in various fields related to gender equality, gender-based violence, co-education, and human rights activism. from 2018 to 2023 she has been the director of the Canary Islands Institute of Equality. She is the initiator of the “Mask-19 campaign,” an initiative aimed at protecting women victims of gender-based violence during the COVID-19 lockdown, providing them with a tool to seek help through pharmacies. It was recognized as a best practice by UN Women and awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Equality in 2020. She is the co-author of “Schools Free of Sexist Violence” (2016), and “Lesbians, That’s the Way We Are” (2018). Finally, she has been a board member of the EL*C from 2018 to 2020, and from December 2023 to 2025. She is now Media and Communication consultant for the EL*C Team.
