Parallel Session: Bringing Lesbians to the Table

A Workshop on Advocacy with the EU Institutions

This session is all about building stronger links between activists and institutions working on human rights, gender equality, and LGBTI rights. You’ll hear directly from representatives of the European Commission, the LGBTI Intergroup of the European Parliament, the SOGIESC Unit of the Council of Europe, and the Office of the European Commissioner for Human Rights. We will present the work we’ve done—and continue to do—to ensure that lesbian rights are protected in Europe. Then we’ll open the floor for questions, discussion, and shared experiences.

It will be a great chance to better understand how these institutions work and how we can collaborate with them. Whether you’re new to advocacy or have years of experience, come join the conversation and help us lesbianise the European institutions!
