Liliya Ten

Liliya Ten is a lesbian activist and singer from Central Asia.

Beginning her journey as a volunteer, she has devoted the past 14 years to strengthening LGBTQI rights. For 10 of those years, she has led “the GRACE,” an LBQ organization in Kyrgyzstan, pioneering media advocacy and mobilizing lesbians in rural areas.

Passionate about increasing the visibility of lesbians, in 2020 Liliya directed the first documentary in Kyrgyzstan highlighting the lives of lesbians. She has also staged a play addressing issues of domestic violence and harassment.

At the EL*C genius team, Liliya serves as a Program Officer, bringing her passion to grantmaking and movement-building activities programs.
